Conditions & Forecasts
Because of its proximity to the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Central Port Angeles enjoys pleasantly moderate temperatures year-round. And due to the nearby Olympic Mountains’ rain-shadow effect, Central Port Angeles also enjoys some of the lowest precipitation numbers in the Pacific Northwest (26 inches of rain per year compared to Seattle’s 37 inches and Forks’ 120 inches).
In fact, with each mile you go west from central Port Angeles, you can expect 1 more inch of rain per year. That means that compared to most places pretty much anywhere, any day in Central PA tends to be a beautiful day!
